Bebe Rexhais proving her relationship with her family is thicker than blood.

Last week, the 29-year-old singer released the racy music video for her newest song “Last Hurrah”. Though Bebe was proud of the art accompanying her latest single, her father, Flamur Rexha, felt differently.

Sharing a screenshot of their text messages to her Instagram Stories recently, Bebe revealed that her dad was so disgusted with her image in the video and on social media that he felt it was comparable to pornography.

Adding that he was “embarrassed to go in public,” Flamur reiterated that he was “very upset” with Bebe and he was in disbelief.

Over the text message, Bebe wrote, “My dad hates me,” along with a facepalm emoji.

After sharing the brutally-honest screenshot on her Instagram Stories, many fans came rushing to Bebe’s defense and criticized her dad for his harsh words.

Bebe added that her father was justified in his “harsh” thoughts on the racy video, and though the pair weren’t currently talking, she would not allow anyone else to trash him.

“I understand where he is coming [from] as a father and that’s why the text was a bit harsh. I am upset that he still isn’t speaking to me, but he is still my father,” she said.

On Tuesday, Bebe spoke to TMZ about the ordeal at the airport, as she prepared to go visit her father in New York, who she said hadn’t talked to her in two weeks.

“He didn’t like the video, the video is a lot,” sheadmitted to the outlet. “My fans are getting a little too intense, they’re saying some mean s— about my dad.”

“He might have said something a little heated in the moment, I feel dumb for showing the screenshot,” she acknowledged. “[But] I get him, I understand him. Don’t talk s— about my dad, that’s my father and he loves me.”

The “Last Hurrah” music video was dropped on Feb. 21, but shortly after its release, YouTube flagged the content as “sensitive.”

The video features a great deal of racy content, including dancers grinding, making out, sexual innuendos, and even a part where Bebe lies on a bed with crosses around her and “Daddy’s Angel” written across her crotch.

“I am woman who is living unapologetically. I’m not gonna be made to feel bad about making ART. And yes art to me is my beautiful a— out, boys kissing boys, girls kissing girls, crosses on my body,” shewrote. “IF A MALE RAPPER PUT OUT THAT VIDEO OUT IT WOULD BE FINE.”

“Trust me I bet people would rather go to a porn site to get off then watch my video. At least they will get full frontal on the porn site,” shejoked.

The staradded in a separate tweet, “If I would of known I would of put the rated r version of the video out, where the nun was smoking weed.”

In a final note, Bebeshared, “I wrote this song with a pure heart. And wanted to portray how We are all fighting our temptations. No one is perfect.”
