I wo n’t lie down . My knowledge of The Bible is not great . But as far as I read it , this is basically how it go down .

About 3,000 years ago , God spoke to Moses via a burn bush and told him about some thing . Later , while Moses was on a mountain ( I think ? ) , God came down to Moses and gave him the Ten Commandments , which were fundamentally the rules for life . Then , Moses etch these into a stone and hive away it in a gold chest . I think that ’s about right .

Well , a group of experts in the US has been count for that golden chest , which is better known as the Ark of the Covenant . More specifically , they ’ve been looking for the place that it was stash away , know as the synagogue . Some abbreviated in - deepness inquiry tells me the synagogue was where God lived when he came to Earth . Wait , what ? I did not make out that .

Anyway , so this Mormon Tabernacle has supposedly gone unexplored for quite a while . But these experts from theAssociates for Biblical Research , which is a “ Christian apologetics ministry ” that assay to prove the historic accuracy of The Bible , run out to taste and find it .

They traveled to Shiloh in Israel , which I gauge is where it ’s supposed to be located ? I do n’t know . Anyway , so out they went forsome excavationsfrom May 21 to June 17 at the location of an apparently ancient city . Dig dig dig .

“ We have just start the outgrowth of pile up grounds but we ’re surefooted that the tabernacle rested at Shiloh , ” Dr Scott Stripling , the managing director of excavation at Shiloh , toldFox News .   “ The tabernacle was set up at Shiloh in 1400 B.C. – Joshua 18:1 mentions it . ” I judge that ensconce it then .

What have they found so far ? Well , you may or may not be surprised to hear they ’ve find nothing but animal bones . Dr Stripling believes these may be related to animal sacrifices .

To find oneself out , they ’ve send out them to the ABR ’s resident zoo archeologist . If the bones equal those of brute mentioned in the Bible then , bingo , mayhap the tabernacle is nearby .

They also found some other items including mallet - mould carvings , tools , weapons , and loads of pottery . I guess that could be expected when excavating any ancient urban center , really .

Anyway , so the Ark remain undiscovered for now . Maybe it ’ll deform up in the future . Maybe not .
