Blogger Michael McKisson got a scrap of a surprisal when he turned on the telecasting and saw a familiar video . The magazine , which McKisson had filmed and uploaded to YouTube for his own blog , Tucson Velo , wasfeatured in a story on the local newsworthiness .
McKisson had not give them permission to employ the video recording , and noticed that they did n’t impute the clip to him either . Slightly miffed , he decide to charge them for his services . McKisson portion out his plan with Jim Romenesko :
“ I have air an e-mail to the news film director with an bill confiscate for the use of the picture footage . I billed them $ 300 . I figured a decent rate was $ 100 per hour and I work at least 3 minute shooting , editing and posting the video . ”

The news managing director has responded , and said they ’ll be looking into things , but apparently still has n’t make up one’s mind if the place will ante up McKisson what he ’s demand for . At the very least they could have ask , or yield him credit even if they did n’t . But now that it ’s a bit late for all that , some cash might be able-bodied to make things veracious .
