This is a story of a not so environmentally favorable , but rather groovy repurposing idea : reprocess CDs as records ( call back them ? ) At the UK ’s Futuresonic fete last week , a guy named Aleks Kolkowski had his vintage record - cut machine quick to chip at sound tracks into sure-enough atomic number 48 and DVDs . multitude simply had to turn up with an old disc and a heavy file and he ’d “ overwrite ” the CD with a runway quick to be play on a lazy Susan . Neat ! I ’d have been there asking Aleks for a copy of my first ever track record ( that ’ll be the radical to Watership Down — I know , I know ) on a stinky old AOL CD I found recently .
