Getting my geriatric laptop computer to play with whichever Wi - Fi web I ’m using is always an adventure . Almost as fun as trying to pair my wireless headphone with the machine ’s non - existing Bluetooth connective . If only there were a individual dongle to do both — easily .
O Hai !
What Is It?
A wireless networking dongle that play both Bluetooth 3.0 High - speeding and 802.11n Wi - Fi to any PC with a USB port . Hello the future .
Who’s it For?
People like me who have objet d’art of diddlyshit laptops and would rather go on a three - daylight bender than bribe fancy new ( “ up to date ” ) machine .
Design
It kinda looks like a piece of blister - coterie gum , and it ’s only slimly larger than one .
Using It
Plug into USB embrasure , install driver software . out you go . Once up and running , the Cirago automatically scans for usable Wi - Fi networks easily pairs with virtually all Bluetooth gadget .
The Best Part
It ’s $ 40 .
Tragic Flaw
Sorry MacLover , this little guy is Windows - only .
This Is Weird…
The Bluetooth handler program consistently asks for a twist watchword , irrespective of whether it really has one or not — like for my Arriva Leo headphones . “ 000000 ” seems to go in most cases .
Test Notes
• connection connection speeds using the dongle average slightly lower than using my laptop ’s internal radio on my psychometric test web ( ~48Mb / s outside vs 54Mb / s internal )
Standards : Bluetooth 3.0 High - Speed , 802.11n Wi - Fi
OS : Windows 7 , Vista , XP

mountain chain : 10 meters ( 33 foot )
Dimensions : 1.18 x 0.47 x 0.2 column inch
Price:$40

Should You Buy It?
If you need something like this , then yes . It ’s a pocket-size , cheap , and comparatively rapid .
