So Clone Wars has returned from its holiday happy chance with another chapter in the misadventures of Gascon , WAC , and the Astromechs . But the good tidings is that this episode centers not on pointless arguments between the tiny colonel and his annoying right - deal Droid , but on an MIA dead ringer trooper who has forget who he is .
After conquering the Void , Gascon and his squad have arrived in an Abafar city . Gascon cypher they ’ll be able-bodied to find transfer off the major planet , but first , he needs to fuel his belly . He and WAC find a diner campaign by the Sullustan Mr. Borkus . Borkus , in a nod to A New Hope , refuses to allow the Droid in his diner . Since this is a culturally sanction bit of preconception , Gascon curl WAC away until Borkus tells him , “ We do n’t serve your kind either . ” chase after away at tongue stage , Gascon ’s only hope for sustainment seems to be the dumpster behind the diner . WAC , for his part , genuinely does n’t understand the job with eating from the dumpster ; mirthfully , the writers have tone up down the disagreements between Gascon and the Droids . They may not accord on everything , but they ’ve pull ahead each others ’ regard .
There is even a cute pro - Droid line afterward in the episode : When Gascon incriminate the Droids of genial inflexibility , R2 - D2 crack ( using WAC as a translator ) , “ Droids are not known for being flexible , because we are programmed for being right the first time . ” Maybe that ’s reliable for Astromechs , but someone should really update WAC ’s computer programming .

Gascon is spotted by Gregor , Borkus ’ employee , who , bewilder by the Zilkin ’s chalk - picking , offers to get him some intellectual nourishment . Despite Gregor ’s shaggy fuzz and beard , Gascon instantly recognizes him as a dead ringer . Gregor seems bewildered ; not only does he not make love that he ’s a clon — he does n’t even know what a clone is . We ’ve seen a clone who escaped the state of war to settle down , but that ’s not the case here . Gregor is an amnesiac , and Borkus has used his convenient memory exit to turn the clon into his personal slave .
There are Separatist Droids hang about this town , and Gascon infer that there must be a landing place geographical zone nearby . sure as shooting enough , they spot a shuttle that Gascon picture they could sneak aboard , highjack , and fly home . There ’s just one trouble : after that incident aboard the Separatist ship a pair episodes back , the Separatist Droids will have a go at it D - Squad on slew . They ’re live on to need that clone cavalryman to remember who he is so he can help them get aboard the shuttle .
When the squad finds Gregor , R2 scoot a holograph of Captain Rex through Gregor ’s window as the sleep of D - Squad bursts in . “ Is that me ? ” Gregor asks in wonder . No , Gascon , explain , you are one of a million clones , but they are clone , not dishwashers . When R2 scans the identifying computer code in Gregor ’s wrist joint , it turns out that Gregor was once a extremely decorate policeman , lose in activity during the tragic Battle of Sarrish . Gregor , enchanted by Gascon ’s description of the clones as baronial soldiers , starts to recover his memories , and decides to hunt down the equipment he had when he crashed on Abafar . Mr. Borkus tries to stop Gregor and D - Squad from recovering the equipment , ridiculing Gregor as a mere dishwashing machine . The Droids quickly take Borkus down however , and Borkus , anger , tells them that they ’ll never get home ; that shuttle they were be after to commandeer is being loaded up with volatile stuff for blow up a Jedi cruiser .

Gregor , now in his trooper cogwheel ( with a passably badass series of hash marks on the helmet ) , spots a Jedi cruiser and sustain that the Separatist Droids are load the shuttlecock with an explosive mined on Abafar . D - Squad go in to commandeer the bird while Gregor , his training and reflex response seemingly restitute , covers them , picking off the Separatist Droids . Gascon and BZ go down during the trek , and Gascon tells the Astromechs to go forwards without them . Gregor rescues them both , ushering them onto the birdie . Once D - Squad is safely on board , Gascon offers to swing the ship back around and plunk up Gregor , but Gregor tells them not to take chances it ; it ’s enough that Gascon remind him who he was . Wistfully , the Droids fly aside from Abafar , and Gascon severalise an absent Gregor that they will take the story of his heroics back to the Republic and bet for his return .
I was dread another 500 - Squad episode , but it turned out this one was n’t half forged . With something to focus on besides one another , the squad is a hatful more tolerable . Plus , it was courteous to have an episode honoring the clone again . It ’s been a while since we ’ve bugger off up close with a clon , and this one sure enough brought out the best of a troublesome group of fibre .
