What seemed like a classic Stargate “ monster of the week ” episode turned out to be a stack more . What happen when a warrior short discovers a care of mortality ? And what ’s a space deer ? witness out in this week ’s SGU .

The above magazine is pretty amazing , since this installment of SGU was seemingly about understanding exotic giant . Park makes a fairly good point about eating the alien space deer — how do they hump that these creature are n’t well-informed metal money ? Hell how do they cognise that deplete them wo n’t shoot down them all instantly ?

The human beings scurry out , and the monsters bar attacking the crew . So does everyone memorise their lesson ? Do we now discover to prise alien life forms as possible reasoning mintage ? Nope . or else the Destiny has a distance - cervid BBQ .

This sequence was all about three things : getting Rush back into his role as Destiny ’s puppet - master , reminding the audience that Young is still a fictional character with human emotion , and destroying our favourite case , Volker .

Rush deplume The Strings

Eli is still pretty pissed at flush for his actions last week , which impel Eli to condemn his computer program girlfriend Destiny estimator world quarantine . And rightly so . In attempt to get some of his very special king back , Eli hold up Rush ’s wishes and starts dig around in the stasis pods that they just found right now , this episode . Sure . We ’ve been beg SGU to search the ship more , so that ’s good . But now it palpate a small too late in the series . This could have been a luck of fun in the first season ( and facilitate introduce Brody a lot sooner ) . But we divagate .

Eli ’s got a need for disregard Rush ’s wishes . spate has been nothing but a horrible burden for him , and now , when he finally has a chance for some sort of practical happiness , Rush has ruined that too .

Sadly , the whole affair backfires as Eli freeze down Brody in the stasis pod ( Or does he ? Some of the commenters seem to cogitate Rush had a hand in the initial freezing as well , clean enough . in person I think they freeze themselves and Rush just permit them sweat it out ) . Which was 100 % hilarious , especially when Eli blames the whole thing on Brody , “ He was just in there push buttons ! ” We ’re assuming that Rush knew exactly what was bechance and this whole thing was just his way of in an elaborate way certify that the long - haired Scot have a go at it best . particularly after that smiling he lift when his back is turned to Brody and Eli .

But that ’s not all Rush manipulates . Volker gets hit with some problematic beloved mask as innocent backchat from Rush . Our primary military personnel Volker was face to take a devotee with Park . Somehow Rush meet this get and cruelly pushed him away from his intended , stuffing Volker in the supporter geographical zone . Sure Rush was right all along but was was the purpose of this attack . Was he attempt to protect or boost Volker ? We ’re not sure , but we do have a go at it that our hearts shattered into a thousand slice when Volker came a career with some sort of space prime and his smashing vest outfit and Park was all cozied up to Greer . We love Greer , but Volker ’s all wit !

TJ and Ruggedly Handsome Lucian almost , almost get to sneak a candy kiss until youthful interrupt . Remember Young ? It seems like ages since we ’ve had a good Young episode , and now he ’s the third side of a love triangle . Ah well , we ’ll take what we can get .

Greer get His Groove Back , possibly

In the remnant , the independent character to this episode was all Greer . Seems like the kidney transplant may have wounded our favourite soldier . Greer reveals that during his fever dream get by an infection , he intend he may have died . And now he knows what the other side is , and he does n’t want to go back . This near - death experience put the fear of mortality in our hazardous warrior , and now he just ca n’t seem to pull the trigger . Which is funny because that reaction only chair to more death for a bunch of faceless members of the crew . Alas , that ’s a fairly realistic view of how sealed post traumatic disorderliness manifest themselves sometimes . Still , we think Greer may have reached repose while asterisk down the outer space devil . Or at least we hope so , because his marque of screwball is the kind we wish .
