Gabourey Sidibe’s twins are growing up fast!
While speaking with PEOPLE atEssence’sBlack Women In Hollywood Awards, thePreciousactress, 41, gave an update on her 10-month-old twins,son Cooper and daughter Maya. Sidibe, who is preparing to soon celebrate her children’s first birthday with her husbandBrandon Frankel, shares the couple’s plans for the twins' big day.
“Them babies don’t know what’s going on, nothing. They don’t know nothing ‘bout nothing,” Sidibe tells PEOPLE. “We’re not gonna throw a big party for the first birthday because, you know. It’s gonna be a normal day.”
“We might give them cake, but also they’re so little they would throw up a cake, so we’ll take them out, probably get them a present,” she continues. “We’ll really get into it for probably that third birthday.”

Earlier this week, the actress’s husband shared a series of photos onhis Instagramshowing Sidible cuddling with their babies, smiling as Frankel snapped her photo.
“I can’t believe the twins are creeping up on a YEAR OLD! People kept telling us ‘the days are long, but the years are short’ and they nailed it!” Frankel wrote in his caption. “I find myself looking back at pictures and videos of them all the time, and they were SO LITTLE and are now SO BIG!!”
“I think about the three of you from the second I wake up til I go to bed. And often throughout my dreams,” he continued. “You are my favorite people on the entire planet- and there’s over 8 billion of those. Thank you for filling my heart with so much joy. I love you til the end of time ❤️.”

In December, the couple enjoyed their first Christmas as a family of four, sharing a sweet video from their celebration.
TheEmpireactress posted an adorablevideo montagewith her husband and their twins as they celebrated their Christmas. In the sweet clips, the “Sidibabies” can be seen playing with their new toys — and the boxes they came in — while matching with their parents in blue tie-dye pajamas.
“First Frankel Family Christmas for The SidiBabies was a success!” the proud mom wrote in her caption. “They really loved the boxes!”
