Gia Giudicewon’t be giving her momTeresa Giudice’s wedding look another moment in the spotlight.
TheReal Housewives of New Jerseystar, 22, quickly dismissed the idea of recreating the instantly iconic bridal look — which Teresa, 51, wore ather August 2022 nuptialsto husbandLuis “Louie” Ruelas— for a Halloween costume. “I honestly have not been tempted,” she tells PEOPLE.
That’s not to say she wasn’t a fan of the decadent, princess-inspired dress. “I mean, it was so iconic. She just looked so beautiful,” she raves. “My mom’s entire look was insane. It was so Teresa.”
However, Gia says channeling her mom would be a bit too cringe-worthy for her. “I don’t know, I just don’t think I would ever go [out on Halloween] being my mom,” she explains. “I feel like that could ultimately almost line up with [my embarrassing] ‘waking up in the morning’ [viral moment fromRHONJ]. I think it could almost align.”

“Waking up in the morning, thinking about so many things. I just wish things would get better. I’m trying to get rid of them, but nothing seems to stay the same,” she sang, seemingly addressing tensions between her mom and her uncleJoe Gorga.
The clip resurfaced 10 years later in 2021 as an audio sample that quickly went viral onTikTok, with more than 270 million people using the hashtag #WakingUpInTheMorning. A number of celebrities even tuned into Gia’s song, includingCardi B, who gave a shout-out about it on Twitter, andWill Smith, who used the song for a TikTok of himself dancing on a bed for St. Patrick’s Day.

However, what truly took Teresa’s look over the top washer hair, which was styled into a dramatic, voluminous updo to help hold her custom crystal tiara in place. The hairstyle cost a whopping $10,000 to create, thanks to the custom luxury hair extensions that stylistLucia Casazzaused.
“As we know, my girl Teresa is the queen of Jersey, so we needed hair that was fit for a queen,” Casazza said in aninterview with Andy Cohenposted after the ceremony. “You go big or you go home. [Teresa] said, ‘My hair has to be over the top.'”
