Haven add up to a sort of balance in this episode , with the various new characters and plotlines poise out the bother of the week in a sometimes tense , sometimes humorous hr of television . But by the end , it made a major shift key that could throw the show out of whack .
Sometimes I forget that Haven can go from being an inoffensive show from pretty darn estimable one , and last night ’s installment was pretty darn good . It was fun to see Lexie bring the voice of the interview ( “ Why do the great unwashed still live here ? ” ) and bemock Audrey a chip ( “ 50 Shades of Beige . ” ) , and the problem of the week — affect a paralytic human who can possess other mass ’s consistency — had that luscious bit of sadness that I love in my horror . And I ’m intrigue by Jordan ’s interest in Wade Crocker . What intrigue are function on behind those sultry eyes , Miss Jordan ?
Lexie felt like a much - needed breather of fresh tune in Haven ’s cloudy skies . Her existence fits in nicely with the Haven mythology , and it would have been fun to watch her pretend to be Audrey and perhaps fall in love with a new persona . And granted , there were a couple of moment where the masque slipped — she was too comfortable point that gun , she occasionally sounded far more like Audrey than Lexie — but I chalked those up to mushiness . Alas , Lexie is just a charade , a cover to hide the fact that Audrey has truly rejoin to Haven with her memories entire . As long as Audrey does n’t let out herself , she believably estimate , she wo n’t have to obliterate Nathan .
I just hope that Haven will manage to be as engaging with Audrey - as - Lexie as it was in this episode , and that the other modification happening around town will keep the show from seeming dusty .
