“It is, yeah,” Jason responded.
“Yeah, that’s what I thought so,' Travis said. “I’ve only been doing it for my entire career.”
“Well it used to be just breast cancer awareness and now it’s like multicolored and it’s called…what’s the name they use for the month? Jason asked his brother.
“It started with strictly breast cancer. Crucial Catch,” he continued, finally thinking of the month’s name. “Now it’s incumbent of a bunch of different charities. There’s basically a rainbow for it to go with all of the charities.”
“But this was a throwback to when it was just breast cancer awareness. We used to get pink everything, guys would only wear pink stuff. That’s I think why he chose the pink shoes.”
“Well we got a video of what Kylie put out of Wyatt watching the Eagles game and she didn’t miss those pink shoes one time,” Travis joked.
“Dude, I mean dude that’s pretty cool. The moment I saw the video I was immediately smiling.” Jason revealed.
“She’s so cute man,” Travis told his brother.
“I mean it was adorable,” Jason continued. “And you want to talk about good advertising for A.J. Brown? I firmly believe if you get a kid…if you can maintain the attention of a child, you’re doing something right. That is hard to do.”
“Yeah, you’re killing it,” Travis responded.
“Every single time they showed him, she was like, ‘Pink shoes! Pink shoes!’ Everybody else…adults are definitely saying the same thing. They just don’t say it around a camera.”
“I got to get me some pink shoes,” Travis joked. “There we go,” Jason said.
The wide receiver complied during the game but later addressed the incident, telling reporters, “That rule sucks. But it’s OK. I really try to bend the rules a little bit.”
“[My cleats] are green, highlighter green. I think all players should wear whatever they want to wear. They’re not going to be able to fine everybody in the league, so we should start that movement as players,” he said, perThe Philadelphia Inquirer.
Brown then explained the reasoning behind his bright cleats. “I wear the cleats because of my daughter… so she can easily spot me,” he explained, referencing his 3-year-old daughter Jersee.
“Whenever I wear black cleats or something like that, it’s hard for her to spot me. I think everybody knew where I was on the field with the cleats, definitely my daughter,” the father of two — who also shares 13-month-old son A.J. Brown Jr. with longtime partner Kelsey Riley — continued.
