Sarah Michelle GellarandFreddie Prinze Jr.are toasting to two decades of love and marriage!
The couple coordinated tribute posts on social media Thursday — both shared a romantic photos from their 2002 nuptials as well as more recent photos.
The 45-year-oldBuffy the Vampire Slayeralum dropped several photos of Prinze, 46, on her Instagram Story. In one, the actor has his arm around her as she looks up at him lovingly.

Several more photos showcased Prinze’s appearanceHoward Stern’s show ahead of the couple’s wedding.
“So you’re going to marry Sarah Michelle Gellar, even though you know that won’t last?” asked the shock jock.
“Oh, absolutely it will last,” Prinze replied. On Thursday, Gellar tagged Stern, 68 and asked “What do you think? I think you owe us.”
TheShe’s All Thatstar shared his wife’s postson his Instagram Story, adding, “She will not forget,” over the photos of Stern, with a trio of crying-laughing emojis.
That said, Gellardidforget one thing— the date of their 19th wedding anniversary last year!
When news outlets and friends reminded her of the day, she wrote onInstagramlast Sept. 1: “I honestly thought it was tomorrow.”
She added, “Happy anniversary@realfreddieprinzetoday, tomorrow and any day after that I think might be our anniversary in the future.”

The pair met while filming the 1997 horror filmI Know What You Did Last Summer.
Theytold PEOPLEin March 2021 that they had been friends for a while before going on a dinner date together, and the dynamic of their relationship shifted after that evening.
“We’ve had many dinners before. We were supposed to go with someone else, and the third person didn’t make it out, and we decided to still go,” Gellar said. “We were just two people at dinner catching up. We had a long car ride and a long dinner, and things just happened.”
Prinze added that he didn’t want to be with anyone else after that night.
“I didn’t go on dates with other girls, nor did I even want to pursue dates with other girls,” he said. “One day, I just knew we’re going to get married and that I was going to propose. I didn’t know when or how.”
They would go on to welcome two children — daughterCharlotte, 11, and son Rocky, 9.

The actress marked her husband’s 46th birthday in March onInstagram, sharing a glowing selfie of the pair. She also noted the significance ofInternational Women’s Day, praising Prinze: “It completely makes sense that you share that day, as there is no man that is a bigger champion and friend to women than you.”
She concludedher sweet tribute, “I couldn’t think of someone better to raise a daughter with or to teach a son, what it truly means to be a good man. Happy birthday FP.”
